The University of the Philippines Visayas advises all constituents to wear snug-fitting face masks when outdoors as a precautionary measure against the haze caused by fires in Indonesia that has reached Miagao, Iloilo
The presence of the haze in Miagao has been confirmed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 6.
Members of the UPV community are encouraged to minimize prolonged outdoor activities, particularly those who may be sensitive to poor air quality. Please remain attentive to official updates and advisories from relevant government agencies and the University.
Everyone is reminded to prioritize their health and safety and to take appropriate precautions while the haze persists
