The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) of UP Visayas conducted a two-day benchmarking activity on online enrollment and digital payment processes for Capiz State University (CAPSU) from October 3 and 7, 2025.
The activity covered topics on innovative approaches, operational methods, enrollment systems, and digital payment facilities. In addition to providing an overview of the OUR services, organizational structure, and digital transformation initiatives, Asst. Prof. Nilo Araneta, the University Registrar, also presented topics on online enrollment processes using CRSIS and the information systems managed and maintained by the OUR.
CAPSU requested a benchmarking activity to evaluate UPV's digital enrollment system, focusing on the system’s accuracy, data security, and user-friendliness. They also aimed to examine the university’s digital platforms used for collecting tuition and other fees, to understand the digital disbursement processes and assess the systems’ efficiency, accountability, and transparency in financial operations, among other factors. The registrars and staff from nine CAPSU campuses, and representatives from the Digital Transformation Office, attended the event. The two teams were led by Dr. Charlie V. Dublon, Registrar III from CAPSU Pontevedra Campus, and Dr. Rosel L. Dionio, Head of the CAPSU Digital Transformation Office.
The benchmarking activity was a valuable learning experience and enhanced the relationship between the two state universities.
